Management Team
Ann Carpenter - Director
Mrs. Carpenter is an active geologist with over 25 years of diverse
experience in exploration, mineral evaluations, and mine project development,
having worked for a number of gold companies and as a consultant to
the industry. Most recently, Mrs. Carpenter was as President, Chief
Operating Officer and Director of U.S. Gold Corp. from 2005 to 2007.
She has been an advocate for the mining industry and has given testimony
before the U.S. Congress, and is active with the Women's Mining Coalition
and other industry organizations. Mrs. Carpenter received her degree
in Geology from Montana State University in 1980, with further advanced
geology studies completed at Mackay School of Mines, University of
Nevada Reno from 1981-1983. Mrs. Carpenter's expertise in exploration
and development of precious metals deposits in the Great Basin will
be of great value to the growth of Maestro Ventures Ltd.
Hans Rasmussen - Director
Mr Rasmussen has 24 years experience in the mineral exploration business,
including 4 years working for Newmont Exploration in the late 1980's
focused on gold exploration along the Carlin Trend, Nevada, and 12
years with the Kennecott-Rio Tinto group focused in the Americas,
which also included three years as Country Manager of Argentina and
Bolivia. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Rasmussen worked as consultant for
a variety of junior exploration companies in Nevada, Argentina and
Chile. Since January 2007, Mr. Rasmussen has been President and Chief
Operating Officer of Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd. Throughout his career,
Mr. Rasmussen has headed numerous exploration programs for gold and
copper in the Great Basin. He brings extensive experience from regional
project generation to gold, gold-silver, and gold-copper deposit discovery
to the Board of Directors of Maestro Ventures Ltd. Mr. Rasmussen received
a B.Sc. in Geology and a B.Sc. in Physics in 1985 from Southern Oregon
University and a Masters of Science in Geophysics in 1992 from the
University of Utah.
Kris Kottmeier - CEO / Director
Mr. Kottmeier has been an investor relations & corporate consultant
for over twelve years, working with a number of Exchange listed companies
in various roles including manager, officer and exterior consultant.
Over that time, Mr. Kottmeier developed his experience in finance,
corporate communications, corporate branding and database management.
Mr. Kottmeier has been chief investor relations consultant to TSX-listed
Minera Andes Inc. since 1998. He has been the President and a director
of UnityWest Capital Markets Ltd., a private investment and consulting
firm, since October 2003. Mr. Kottmeier is currently president of
TSX-V listed StoneShield Capital Corp. and was a director of Rockgate
Capital Corp. from November 2004 to January 2007. Mr. Kottmeier attended
the University of British Columbia from 1993 to 1996 with a focus
on languages and business.
Doug Hurst - Director
Mr. Hurst has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry having
acted as contract geologist, but primarily as a mining analyst since
1987. He worked with McDermitt St. Lawrence and Sprott Securities
Inc. between 1987 and 1995 and started to consult as a mining analyst
through his company, D.S. Hurst Inc. His duties focused on mining
stock exchange market related assignments such as assisting companies
and dealers with due diligence, research and corporate finance duties,
as well as corporate advice to the mining industry. Mr. Hurst has
held directorships with three mining companies since 2000 and is currently
a director of two public companies. Mr. Hurst has a Bachelor of Science
in geology from McMaster University.
Allan Williams - President / Director
Mr. Williams is a self-employed business consultant. He has been involved
in the capital markets for over 20 years, having structured and financed
several junior companies focused on mineral and oil & gas exploration.
Mr. Williams is a Director and founder of Palladon Ventures Ltd. and
was the President of Redwood Energy Ltd.
Hamish Greig - Director
Mr. Greig has eight years of experience in investor relations and
corporate development. Since 2003 he has held several positions for
Palladon Ventures Ltd., including one year as corporate secretary.
He is presently VP, Corporate Development for Palladon. Exploration

The exploration team for Maestro includes:
John Zimmerman: a veteran geologist with a wealth of experiences in
all facets of gold exploration in the western US. Mr. Zimmerman was
the co-discoverer of the Chimney Creek (Twin Creeks) Mine in Nevada,
currently in operation by Newmont Mining. Maestro’s technical
programs will be conducted under the supervision of Mr. Zimmerman.
Some of his recent work has included generating and placing properties
with several companies including Gold Fields, Placer Dome, MK Gold,
Kennecott, Western Mining, Kalahari Resources, and Anaconda Gold.
Mr. Zimmerman has an MS from the University of Arizona and is an expert
in Carlin-style exploration. Zimmerman been a consistent producer
of quality opportunities in western US gold exploration since 1980,
and have contributed to the success of several previous explorers
including Newmont, Goldfields Mining, Gateway Gold, Meridian Gold,
and BHP Minerals International.
David R. Shaddrick: a veteran geologist with over 35 years experience
in mineral exploration. Mr. Shaddrick’s experience includes
12 years as a mining and exploration geologist, U.S. and Canada, with
Homestake Mining Company, four years with Atlas Mining Corporation,
and 21 years as a mining and exploration consultant for a variety
of major and junior mineral companies in North America, including
extensive work in the Great Basin. Mr. Shaddrick received his B.Sc.
in Geology in 1970 from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology
and his M.Sc. in Geology in 1971 from the South Dakota School of Mines
and Technology. Mr. Shaddrick is a member of the American Institute
of Professional Geologists (AIPG) and a Professional Geologist (CPG
#10677). Mr. Shaddrick is a “qualified person” for the
purposes of NI 43-101 and Form 443-101F1. |
