Other
Projects - The Twelve Mile Project
Location
Twelve Mile is located in far northeast Nevada, approximately 12 miles
north of the town of Montello in Elko County, Nevada.
Land
Maestro controls 200 acres of unpatented mining claims. Most surrounding
surface rights are held by the Wine Cup Ranch with an the mineral
rights owner undetermined.
Geology
The Twelve Mile prospect sits approximately 7 miles due west of the
Tecoma deposit, a 100,000+ ounce Carlin-type gold owned by Western
States Mining. The alteration, geochemistry, and stratigraphy at Twelve
Mile are typical of a Carlin system. This very large hydrothermal
system is hosted in Pequop limestone/calcareous siltstone of Pennsylvanian
age. An area 6 miles on strike and 1 mile wide exhibits pervasive
jasperoid and argillic alteration. Altered rocks contain anomalous
gold, arsenic and antimony and barite. In rock chips collected by
Genesis, gold values range to 2.75 grams, arsenic up to 3570 ppm,
antimony up to 474 ppm, and barium up to 1700 ppm.
Approximately 10 holes were drilled previously to test surface geochemistry
at Twelve Mile. No results from this drilling are available.
Target Concept
Twelve Mile is a large Carlin type gold system as indicated by geochemistry
and alteration with ore-grade values at surface. Only a small part
of the system has been tested to date. Our concept is to secure a
lease on the large surrounding ranch property and then evaluate the
entire system with modern concepts and techniques.
We are certain that compelling targets can be developed on this property
with a goal of discovering 1 million ounces or more of gold. |
